Don't knock it until you've tried it.

Not making fun of you just thought it was cool

It genuinely sounds like an unfinished demo

“Can you try me try me try me x 10”

I see your point, and it's a valid one. The beauty of music is that a song not always has to be about the lyrics. For me the whole song is a vibe, and I can't put it in words how much I love it! Like, I doubt I've ever listened it at quiet volume levels--quite the contrary! That bass and instrumental is irresistible! And Abel's voice becomes an instrument too!

Agreed, 'Try Me' sounds like Abel just styling out in the studio. That whole instinctive and 'carefree' vibe as far as melodies goes has transferred over into AH imo. Really strong and satisfying melodies, executed in a breezy and laidback way, which means the natural rhythm of the lyrics meld together with the music really nicely. It's a world away from the controlled neurosis of his vocal delivery in Trilogy, which I prefer on balance. But the laidback thing really works. Far better than BBTM and Starboy, which seemed to vary between overwrought or flat and uninspired.

Only thing is, he is sometimes a bit too laidback on AH and doesn't nail the runs/melismas the way he should. Come across as sloppy.
