I feel like he can’t not make a concept album
One of my GOATs regardless
saying he cant make a concept album is such a dumb thing to say when tpab is literally a concept album
I'm a Kendrick fan. That said...
1. Utter lack of a big feature run after 2013.
2. Big waits between albums.
3. Voice alterations can be grating at times
4. Hooks are hit or miss
Other than that, I'm a fan and he's in my top 10.

4:44 & DLDT aside,
Daytona is 20 something minutes to DAMN's hour. I feel like that's not a fair comparison.

What’s wrong with concept albums? If anything everyone should do it

If you take the concept away from DAMN, that album ages worse than it already has.

Its Almost Dry > DAMN too and I love DAMN. Big Steppers really gotta be special.
I’m worried Kendrick’s general absence these past few years is going to make this new album sound a bit dated on release.
the “post-Relapse Eminem” effect, you could call it.

idk the circumstances are kinda totally different

haven't listened yet so can't comment!
He’s just boring and not that interesting to me, and I think his alien voice is very off-putting.
For whatever reason, the slightest criticism of him invites legions of angry fans who refuse to believe that he is anything less than god’s gift to rap
Seems like a nice guy tho idk

I feel like this will be his most polarizing album yet, dunno why
