Saying Damn is your least fav Kendrick album and saying Damn isn’t aging great are two different statements.

I can understand and respect the first statement, but the second is just so blatantly untrue because the sound of rap as a whole hasn’t changed that much since 2017

I think he tries so hard to make his lyrics seem so important and like a riddle that it makes them really hard for me to connect to and disconnects me as a listener.

loved gkmc but couldnt get into tpab and damn. It was too all over the place for me , too expirimental.

Kendrick a top tier rapper, thats for sure. But last 2 albums dus no good for me.

My opinion TDE f***ed up a lot of there artists. Jay Rock , Kendrick , Ab-soul and schoolboy should’ve resurrect the westcoast but TDE f***ed up the creative process.

Game paved the way for them dudes. Put them on his mixtapes. Gave jay rock the features as well as Kendrick (K-Dot back then) Skee played the s*** out of them in his radio shows , gave them the mixtapes, which were defintely poppin’ back then.

Jay Rock first album , Kendrick first album had them on the verse of ressurecting the West again.

Also G. Malone and Ya Boy where heavy hitters back than with Crooked I backing them up with the hiphop weekly’s.

Shake the westcoast never ressurected like that. Most of the artists make the wrong choices en never really blossomed

But once again its my opinion and everyone is entitled to have one

Has a certain percentage of features of him trying stuff where it’s “what the hell is happening dawg”

Sometimes he experiments too much on his features. I respect the risk and it does work but for certain features i would love to hear straight raps
