not in the way we used too though, we depend on our jobs to pay us and they depend on our labor (until automation fully takes over), but we don’t depend on a tight knit community to help us grow food, hunt animals, defend against intruders, it’s all delegated in forms of business - agriculture, defense, etc

Instant gratification, clout/envy and credit has always been the downfall of the USA.

Social media worsens it since everyone only posts “positive” s***. Anything negative they posts is usually how someone wants to demonize said group.

“Keeping up with Jones” was mostly a suburban American thing. But with the internet, it’s been spread all through the world.

The white man’s view of society has been pushed on Western Civilization which inherently makes us more selfish and less caring.
