Been looking to get my first pair of "quality" headphones. Always used earphones in the past, Jabra 75t Actives have been my go-to for a couple of years now.
Been looking into the Sennheiser HD58x, anyone have any experience with these?
I know they are very similar to the 6xx, which are similar to the HD 650s.
i almost have the exodia of basic b**** headphones complete, ATH m50, WH-1000xm4, HyperX Cloud, DT990 Pro..

HD 58X are good, but I’d recommend paying a lil extra for the 6XX if you can

Shure SRH 1840
I had the SRH440 and those sounded great for entry level headphones.
What are the 1840 like?

These headphones are out of this world the clarity in these headphones are something I would never imagine. I can hear everything you can easily tell when a song is mixed well or not.
Hell songs that I thought were mixed well before sound like ass now because of the clarity.
It’s like going from 1080p to 4k
It has a very natural frequency response curve everything is “flat” so don’t expect boomy bass out of these.
Has a little harmonic distortion in the low-mids but it’s not really an issue.
For me it’s well worth the 500$ price tag and they should last for years (forever?)
I can’t imagine music sounding better than this but i’m sure it gets better the more you spend

Damn ight way u describe them they sound perfect for me
Was a little hesitant in copping those cus they're rarely in the conversations online about 'best headphones' for whatever reason
now I needa find an excuse to justify spending a few hundred on headphones again

And also they are extremely easy to drive at 60 impedance

i own a pair they're amazing for the pricepoint but i don't agree w/ carl pei for upcharging for the ear buds an extra 50 to have the standard pair now these days, i haven't tried to ergonomic wireless pair that's based at 100 now but im assuming it's just as good.
