I bought the ATHM40X they're pretty flat/neutral as suggested

I love that, they also don't sound obnoxiously loud

i have xm4s, airpods pro and airpods max and the xm4s are the best, wish i could get the xm5s tho bc the design looks way better

I just got the XM5s and that was one of the deciding factors vs the MX4s for me tbh since they're mostly very similar in quality. Apparently the XM5s have slightly better ANC and sound quality (forgot in what respects to that), but overall are mostly the same deal.

Just got those about a month ago, and also have the Airpods Pro gen 2 and was using ATX-m50x's for years before they started falling apart. The XM5s are a huge upgrade to the m50x imo

any suggestions on headphones/earbuds for the gym?

if u can afford it go for the airpods pro, the noise cancellation is great, especially for those that use public transportation often
