The world genuinely needs to know the actual timeline and which animal it actually was that covid-19 jumped from onto humans. Amongst other things that only China, if anyone at all, has data on.

But every answer the Chinese government gives helps build the case against them as far as knowing more internally and not telling the rest of the world. Even knowing that it'd spread worldwide. So what if China just refuses to cooperate with the WHO, UN, etc? The more harm covid causes, the less likely it is that EVERY government opts not to look for punitive measures.
