Is the site just in a death spiral now?

The prioritisation of paid users in replies was truly awful.

Now the actual feed is increasingly invaded by nonsense; most of the 'big' meme users have started non-stop promoting on1yf4ns at the same time and engagement farming 'HUMANS IN CONTEXT' type accounts are innumerable and re-posting the same content over and over

You can still curate for the niches that suit you but generally feels like it's a platform on borrowed time?

Idk I get memes/dumb s*** and it is dope

Since Elon got it I blocked him and he kept unblocking himself to send me notifications of half his tweets

And even though I do 0 interaction or really do anything, I get constant far-right memes/posts/etc sent to my phone as notifications all day

S***s cooked

twitch humor meme pages recycling unfunny reactions/promotions, onlyfans girls spamming comments with straight p***, gigantic accounts with videos of people dying or racists nonstop engagement baiting constantly being promoted, etc etc.

all for that monthly check

Seeing the brainless robotic blue tick reply slop when you scroll into the replies of tweets is a huge empty hole at the centre of the site. Makes the whole thing feel so s***. It’s either just the worst, most wrong possible interpretation of whatever the tweet is or just mindless word salad about nothing.

Im using a browser extension that reverts twitter back to the Following and Retweets layout and its ridiculous how much theyve mangled that site in the last 2 years

Maybe they are A.I. or at the very minimum the blue checks are real people but A.I. runs their profiles and crawls the content of the app and subsequently engages with the user base in an autonomous feed back loop. Basically spam ai profiles

Would explain the very odd behavior of some of those profiles up there

i've seen lots of people complain about the cp problem since elon took over but i never saw any of it until yesterday. tyron woodley (mma fighter) had a s***tape leak and was trending so i was looking through it expecting to just see memes and jokes and instead i saw a bunch of bots promoting the same cp pic over and over again. i didn't click on any of the tweets but they had a bunch of replies (hopefully people saying they were reporting it) and that boosted all the bot accounts posting that s*** to the very top of the "tyron woodley" search. i've been on twitter for almost 10 years and i've never seen anything like that

facebook be on that same s*** they be showing me hentai ads that im just not intrested inand they have ads from janky/fake websites but none of that really matters its been s*** for a while now

If you don’t block/mute and mark posts as not interesting I assume the For You tab becomes basically unusable
