p r o v i d e ri wouldn't say they "don't know art" everyone interprets things differently. i prefer the covers in that post too because they seem creative, immersive, just aesthetically pretty. but everyone doesn't go for the same thang, so i get it. kinda
I just can't get with some of these takes. Like I understand we all have different taste but man.

i wish everyone would judge things like this the same way they would for any artist, regardless of how much or little they like said artist. or at least not PRETEND like their biases don't exist lol. i do my best to be mindful of those two things.

ASAKII answered your question, you just expected me to say the first one was better because it had some sketches on it lol.
I prefer the second one if you want a binary answer, because that's what Gambino's vision for the album was.
Not gonna say the artist is always right, he handled a lot of things terribly throughout that rollout. Not having song titles for example was idiotic

As someone that initially hated it, CLB album cover makes perfect sense.
I thought Drake was trolling with CLB's cover at first, but s*** makes complete sense when you see what his goals with the album was.
The album is titled f***ing Certified Lover Boy. It's an intentionally cheesy, mostly bright, surface-level album about chicks and blatant ass consumerism. I can't think of a more fitting cover.
The slight problem is that it has tracks like Knife Talk and Jay-Z verse on Love All which makes the cover looks ridiculous in comparison lol
