when's the last time you saw a cardiologist? you don't make an appointment to get your heart checked out unless you think there's reason. same logic applies.

you proved my point with this example

    ... you still remain unsure

I think you're discrediting that KTT has people from different upbringings and thus various cultures. Idk if you've grown up around females your age with multiple "baby dad's". Warning your jitts about not f***in w/ol girl bc she'll trap you. Even b4 internet culture, we were young niggaz already discerning what girl not to take serious.

It's always imperative that a man takes care of himself. A clean cut way is knowing 100% of their responsibilities, finances and direction. Having clarity that they're the father of a child plays a huge part of that.

nah you're definitely right about that, but that kinda goes back to what I said off the rip. you have to play it based off the situation.

there are absolutely women out there that will try to take advantage of you, trap you, etc, but in almost all those situations there's enough red flags to know you should not be dating, wifing, or c*******in that woman. if you got to a point with a girl that you're with her and you're both making the decision to try to have kids (or even not actively trying, but knowing it could happen and being cool with the possibility) it would be insecure and disrespectful to just throw a paternity test at her once she gets knocked up. OP seems to disagree with that and suggest that you should get a test in every scenario no matter the circumstances which is just unnecessary imo. It's a case by case basis thing. There are some situations where you absolutely should, and then there's some situations where it's just really not necessary.

I personally think you should get one in every scenario

Because if you apply the same logic to the existence of Australia you can’t be sure it exists without having gone there yourself. You’re simply making inference off of second hand facts and information.

you thinking too much about how women feel imo.

maybe change your frame of reference.

no i did not state that at all. I stated you proved my point. Which is, it is a total risk no matter the situation to base an ideal off your own judgment of heart health(or in the case of the topic a paternity test) off your own feelings rather than getting a second hand confirmation.

if this is the right move
but there is no debate that it is the smarter move

sure but I'm saying this could be applied to anything in life.

Like if you're going to be with someone how are you going to be 100% certain theyre loyal to you without some level of trust. You gonna monitor their every move? Check their phone and DM's every week?

Like yeah, doing those things would dispel doubt of infidelity but what kind of person would that make you?

ok. now that is an insecurity and i'm with you on that

but a kid / child support is not only 18 years of child support a long term commitment no matter the state of relationship and the risk of your loss of freedom. you can spend your life behind bars behind a kid.

in this situation i say check your feelings at the door and get a second opinion before you're f***ed.

and in my state once your name goes on that birth certificate you're the biological father regardless of a paternity test.

guess we'll just have to agree to disagree then.

I do agree that in any case where you're not married or deep into a relationship you should get tested, but if I'm nutting in someone and not running to the riteaid right after I trust that girl enough to not be f***ing someone else and that it's my kid.

On one hand, it does make sense to me to include a standard paternity test w pregnancy. That would be a reasonable procedural standard imo. But it’s also pretty clear to me how requesting a test implies a lack of trust. Niggas talking about “verification” lol

If someone was taking the test just bc it was standard procedure that would be very different from going out of your way to request one. If you request a test then it means you have some suspicions for whatever reason

  • Jun 25, 2021

Niggas insecure for wanting to confirm paternity???

It shouldn’t be a trust thing.

Prenatal tests should be a mandatory step in having a child.

Bringing a life into the world supersedes trust. All parties involved deserve to know.
