it was very heavy. best song on that album
!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ASuIOk6u9MUGod I had a different favorite like every week.
I can't remember the last time I listened to a nu metal, heavy rock band in the last several years that made me feel what this era did.
numetal era is fascinating to me as i can never see this ever happen again today s*** so formulated

there's something incredibly nostalgic and soul cleansing about their music man
it’s so crazy looking back to think THIS was the hottest song when it came back

The song aged like fine whine
The song aged like fine whine
it did
their new stuff really doesn’t have that sound and energy tbh
it’s melodic but creepy, production is right where it should be, there’s stil the good mix of some funk but turned weird
like at that point they started making catchy choruses heavily but their groove was still there, compromised but in a lets meet half way type
after that it’s like they only focused on making accessible verses and choruses for big stadiums
i remember there’s a video of them revisiting an old song they havnt listen or played of them in ages and they react like wtf is this structure where’s the chorus?
exactly dude you just called yourself out right there lol that unusual s*** was why your music was cool in the first place
just my two cents on it tho
numetal era is fascinating to me as i can never see this ever happen again today s*** so formulated
This is true, but s*** is cyclical. Nu-metal came out of the rise of rap music’s popularity, but rap has pretty much been the biggest genre for most of Millennials’ lives much less anyone younger. I think it’s harder now to find a young rock musician who doesn’t also like rap, so it stands to reason that someone will mix the two again eventually to wildly successful results. Hell, it’s not metal but Post Malone kind of did it already.

xxx for sure brought it back
but it wouldn’t bring something as big as what numetal did
relistening to some of these songs and how they were hits is crazy today
they're one of the few numetal bands from that era that made it out and wasn't disrespected by the critics or pissed on by the people
Because they were actually good. Music aged well too
Songs from Untouchables really brings me back to the days of being just a teenager and going to visit our family in Arizona for 5 weeks straight during the last month of school.
F***.
