i could argue i co produce my mysic too, because i sit in the chair somtimes, make direct edits in the daw, suggest elements that have a strong presence in the song etc but that doesn't really make me the producer in the way many fans think of when we say someone "produced" a record

he probably knows fl a good amount and can guide whoevers manning the ship in their daw of choice, maybe even pro tools. he probably picks samples and hums out melodic lines. he may even sit in the chair sometimes and make edits to structure, engineer some of the sounds a bit if its in a daw hes comfortable with
