Mr Morale is ear poison next to Dawn FM, imagine you finish listening to something like How Do I Make You Love Me? or Out Of Time and then someone plays this garbage
!https://youtu.be/AxNXkI94tbY
this is such a nitpick lol
like saying "imagine playing thriller at a halloween party by goat mj then imagine someone plays U from poopoo tpab right after LOL WHACK NO OUTSIDE SONGS ! ! !"
As if the album doesnt have at least 6 easy listening songs, probably the most out of literally any of his albums including ones people nostalgic d***suck on here by him, you go to one of the most story heavy ones to prove a false point of two totally different songs for two different purposes & situations
Can do it with literally any album, no one would ever put those two songs specifically together for their intended situations
DONDA 2 or Mrmorale
You can only choose 1
Yes I do, but not to s*** on Dawn because I was a big defender of the album
Production styles are completely different so its weird to compared but both of the albums have excellent production. United In Grief, Worldwide Steppers, Crown to name a few moments that stand as production gems for me.
But I think Morale has much better song writing, a lot more relatable songs for me personally, and has way more substance and covers a lot of things that deal with mental health as a black man in america. Which is something that I think was very needed. Dawn is in my top 10 of the year most likely though , great album as well. I love Gasoline, Out Of Time, Don’t Break My Heart, Less Than Zero those are all some of my fav songs this year especially Gasoline
Dawn leans too heavy into the 80s aesthetic for me its played out
Btw im finishing up ur album later today I'll post thots in the thread tomorrow
I remember hearing this when the album leaked.
I legit was blown away and had this on repeat for the entire day
I COULDN'T STOP
