I feel like that’s a chronically online opinion to find Morale subpar, like people who are to used to calling everything mid and lost their ability to realize that just because they don’t like something it doesn’t make it bad.

Because even if you don’t like Morale or think GKMC is better there is nothing “subpar” about the album

you are right but we also have the other extreme, and kendrick has a very loud fanbase which annoys me a lot. I should probably chill tho lmao, this s*** doesn’t do me any good

The issue I personally have with Dawn is that the production kind of blends together. It’s not a bad album to me, I just get kind of bored with it.

I’m from the era where I listen to an album all the way through on the first listen. I don’t make playlists of my favorite songs and then forget about the others. It does such a disservice to the songs you left off because they could click again in the future.

I didn’t like Out Of Time on the first listen but I came back to it and realized how amazing it was.

I understand that completely, I don’t think its a bad opinion to have Dawn FM as AOTY its a f***ing great album but I feel like music discussion has went down the drain because of people not explaining what they think just either calling something garbage or a classic without explaining which leads both sides to get irritated

If you’re someone who values writing, introspection, and relatability Mr Morale is an excellent album

If you’re someone who values production value, great melodies, and grooves Dawn FM is an excellent album.

Just depends on where your ear is at tbh

There's been periods where I was too depressed or anxious to care about music
And when I did, I mostly stuck to stuff I already loved from years before

But, if I had to name a top 5, in no order, it would be:
The Weeknd - Dawn FM
Kendrick - Mr Morale
Drake - Honestly, nevermind
Bad Bunny - Un verano sin ti
Spiritualized - Everything was beautiful
