I don’t see how people don’t realize man of steel was better than bvs
Wearhouse scene sold em. Remember what you said last week about viewers not caring about the reason behind the violence in regards to John Wick

Just watched John Wick Chapter 2 but the little hints they put in that film was interesting, not trying to get super woke that I'm asleep but I am seeing these films in a different light now, even if they are blockbusters. These writers/directors purposefully put symbolism that isn't really noticeable on first viewing but when you start to view everything in a different lense, it really becomes interesting.

oh yeah I'm not knocking John Wick but I was speaking on the consumer end of it. In Batman V Superman everyone's favorite scene was the warehouse scene even though a lot of stuff leading up to the warehouse scene was dumb. Superman didn't talk the whole movie then had a dumb dialogue exchange with batman that ultimately resulted in the fight
BvS could've been so trill if they piggybacked off MoS and had Superman publicly being like 'nah violence isn't/wasn't the way' and how he wish he didn't have to kill Zod
the courthouse scene could've been that but f*** it
WB let me write up some major beats for a superman flick. Maybe not the whole thing but some solid pieces that could work together.
Imagine if Superman was sent across the galaxy or even stuck in the phantom zone at the end of BvS instead of him dying. You get rid of that stupid resurrection plotline and you still get to keep your dumbass "batman has to be the one to assemble the JL" plotline

Oh nah I didn't think you were, I was moreso projecting my own initial feelings about John Wick, I mean it is a shoot em up but there are trinkets of symbolism in there. I agree with your take.
Let me get out of here because I will just continuously and angrily come up with plenty of things they could have done, like I haven't done that already.

Oh yeah fasho. I love being able to pick up on artistic moments put in flicks that you may not have seen on first viewing.
As a movie BvS is aight. Like if the characters weren't exactly batman or superman then ok straight. But as a DC batman and superman story its flat
Everything else tho,
The visuals🔥🔥
The music🔥🔥
The tones🔥🔥
The cast 🔥🔥

Phantom Zone too much like hell?

It was just a plot device be never intended to use again like most things in the movies

Oh I was thinking if Lex trapped him in it but he ended up in an actual place similar to how it was on smallville.
I think I made a huge big brain post about this on ktt1 about this and tied it with GL and Martian Manhunter
