    Ice Spice lacked actual talent

Offset’s solo music never really sold like that

DaBaby’s music was getting stale plus he pissed off a protected community that led to them pulling the plug

Lil Baby’s music just got stale as well

It’s just a combination of a lot of things but if you don’t evolve as an artist then your career is over

Ice Spice = still like her. People just misogynists because she got slimmer

Offset = washed due to Migos dissolution and beefing Quavo

DaBaby = jokes against gay people in this generation don't go down too well. Kirk was an undeniable classic

Lil Baby = washed, same flow every song. Haven't heard a Baby song I've liked since Life Is Good remix

    Kirk != a classic

  • i be more confused that yall thought some of these artists were ever going to have longevity in the first place

  • Offset’s been rapping for 13 years atp

  • No one turned on lil baby it’s not like he has a polarizing sort of personality etc, people way over shot his prospects as an artist & he’s about as close to one dimensional as you can get, even with that said, he’s putting up good first weeks

The reality is that none of those artists were ever really good, they were just propped up by labels and marketing. Once the money dries up and labels choose a new artist to prop up, the old ones get left behind. There’s no marketing machine suckering a bunch of casual listeners into gassing up the slop

I’ll put dababy’s ascension down to covid brain fog & always be glad I was way checked out of mainstream music at that time lol

KTT needs to have a talk about the industry bc I can not sit here and feel like I’m talking to a bunch of robots…

Yall speak on these mfs so much and never try to push the culture forward and speak on new artists. You just here trying to revive mfs the industry planned to be destroyed

I miss the old KTT. The industry is shifting and rebirthing and yall here just crying bout these wack ass plants who’s label control they money and pay for them to be forced down ya throats.

These mfs do not have classics. They have memes. No one listening to full albums by f***ing DaBaby bro. That’s just painful to even imagine

    well start the dialogue then

    Offset didn't fall off.

But for the others, I think the same flow, similar beats, and not enough changes make them interesting to follow.

Kanye, Tyler, etc always "reinvent" their character every album release cycle, so that's what gets people interested in them.

In a way, I think most artists need to hone in on their sound for a minute, but then switch it up after awhile.

However, lifestyle rappers like Larry June doesn't have to change too much b/c their content is always what you expect. Chill vibes about money, work, health, women, etc.

and most of all, they make great sounding music. I’m sorry but the people that were listed don’t make great sounding music (Offset with Migos def did tho)

That group of people solely got in the game for some money but don’t have the same passion for music that the others you listed do

Agreed on most points except I think Offset's Set It Off album was pretty good. Think he just needs to hone in on his new style some more.

But yeah, ultimately, it's about who's the most passionate about their music and is willing to keep pushing themselves in new territories

Fans didn’t turn on DaBaby. A group determined he was canceled and the court of public ran with it.

    You wrong lol

  • OwO

Artists you named lost their ambitions to make great music and just in for the money = lackluster products and boring repeatable music

They never had ambition in the 1st place
