BigX had a massive year. It’s been acknowledged here but fairly crickets. You wouldn’t think he was who he is just by this community. All I’m tryna say in all my comments. Gotta look at an artist across the board and in real life

My bad tho fr I might’ve came off strong on the artists, but my anger is with the industry and like I said, I wish KTT was pushing against that and talking about new artists

But for the fan aspect I think that’s because the industry coddled and got the consumers way to used to recycled content. So artists that get a chance I just hate to see them get taken down the road some of these other cats been. But I’m not too sure

Altho I honestly don’t know how much Dababy applies to it

The problem is more so with people like Ice Spice. She literally didn’t even really know what she was doing, She only had been making music for a year when one of her songs went viral, Got signed super quick, Put in a position she wasn’t ready for and fumbled her whole career

Labels need to spend more time developing artists or only signing ones that have the necessary skills/talent for longevity but I guess they’d rather make a quick buck then do all that

Ya’ll are speaking on these artists lacking development where the industry could just easily toss them to the side like they have, even if they continue to show a semblance of some type of success after, it’s not the same level as it was due to being used by the industry and moved on from. It’s kinda two topics at once but I see ya’ll stance

And I just pray but, with some sources I have w EMPIRE, and experience being robbed by Alamo, I just worry that they are working on literally eating and spitting out these new talented young artists with potential as quick as they can just for they own pockets. I truly believe that’s what they doing.

Tik Tok artists do a show and it’s quiet till that viral 10 second sound comes, then it’s wraps.

Then they find a new cat. It’s sad

A lot of it is also a bad result of the internet in general. Labels just realized they can make a quick profit

The internet kinda destroyed the idea of actually getting good and understanding the craft before putting out music
