I really like 4eva Is A Mighty Long Time
don't know if it's a classic
MBDTF is a classic but Flockaveli is “close but not quite there yet”

honestly i think its an absolute classic in every sense of the word but i tried to remove my own biases. it has still flown over a lot of people's heads and id bet even a lot of self proclaimed 'hip hop heads' havent heard it
Well we're in a new decade so let's look back on the past one. We talk a lot about classic albums but I'm curious as to what the consensus on last decade's classics is. Not really what albums you consider the best of that era but which ones are indisputable, influential, culturally important classics
IMO:
Objective Classics:
My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy
Yeezus
Good Kid, M.A.A.D City
To Pimp A Butterfly
Finally Rich
Watch the Throne
Close but not quite there yet:
Flockaveli
Monster
Take Care
Rodeo
The Money Store
The Life of Pablo
XXX
Pinata
curious as to ktt's opinions. again this isnt really representative of my personal taste, just the albums from last decade that i consider to really be the most visible, high points of the genre
I feel like we gotta toss Blonde and Flower Boy on here. Not becaue I like them or anything, but because people still won't shut up about them

blonde isnt really hip hop but if youd put it under that umbrella then yeah i'd say it deserves a place on the list.
OF are definitely important as far as the scene in 2010s goes. i still remember when they first came on the scene, every teenage kid online was f***in hyped for them p much

Only “hip hop heads” that havent heard it are the ones that overly values the opinions of predominantly white publications/aggregate sites.
There is no way MBDTF can be considered a classic while flockaveli is debatable, the 2010s without Flockaveli looks drastically different. its one of the albums that actually changed the sound of hip hop, in a organic and genuine way.
