a tier rapper which has tendency to half ass his raps

but i think i enjoy drake when his singing more then rapping these days, usually those songs are most unique parts of his discography

he consistently drops mindblowing verses and people are surprised each time as though that’s not the norm with him for some reason

He’s way over Wayne but still a notch or two below hov

Idk about that, Wayne punchlines unmatched. Drake got him beat on flow but that’s about it.

He’s literally jay z and wayne rolled into one

  • May 10, 2022

2 out of the last 30+ verses he put out were good.

Below weezy (greatest rapper oat in his prime), above kanye (when it comes to rapping)

Probably but this isn't his area of expertise.

If someone asked which rapper can make the most radio hits like you'd be insane not to list him either first or second.

But this just isn't his thing for the most part aside from some moments of brilliance

Bro has a ridiculous number of BARRED up songs where he just goes tf off for 5-6 minutes with crazy lines and double/triple entendres but it "isn't his thing" lol

Mfs really don't realize that God's Plan come out right alongside Diplomatic Immunity. My cousin told me he didn't even consider Drake a rapper genuinely delusional

  • May 10, 2022

He's literally one of the best rappers to ever do it.

    He's #2 behind JAY Z

    He’s not better than Lupe

But when Lupe gives you the nod as a lyricist you know you are one of the elites

Both Lupe and Jay Elec love Drake as a lyricist

Mf doom rapped about cartoons and food yet is considered one of the best oat

Drake is basically A plus in flow, cadence and delivery

If you think MM Food songs are actually about food then hold this Fried L

Do you think you might be conflating subject matter with technical ability?

Kendrick certainly has heavier subjects and creates more thematically consistent albums but in terms of technical ability I’d say they are 1A and 1B on the hall of fame list
