and it's totally fine because that's not what we look for drake. we look at him to make enjoyable songs which he succeeds at by writing great hooks, melodies and production

If you listen to the time stamp records you should already know what type of time drake is on as a rapper.

i do not think end of the album 4 minute pure rap song drake is better than anything else he does
pure rapping is not his strongest suit, so to rank him an s tier in technical rap doesn't make any sense to me

May 10, 2022The ghostwriting allegations definitely effect his legacy as a lyricist tbh. That being said, just isolating his verses, he’s decent. He’s got flashes of great writing, but I don’t think I’d ever consider him S tier. His rapping abilities by his detractors are very underrated tho

I bet Drake could rap f***ing circles around any of the "lyrical miracle" rappers. I'm not even a Drake fan like that but like, you don't get to where he is without being an A1 top tier rapper, whether you're displaying that skillset in what you put out for the public or not.
EDIT: maybe not Kendrick but like 99.1% of the rap game at least lol
