Lived in Chicago all my life, done it all so feel free to pm me. Depends on what you wanna do, how old you are, and how much money you’re willing to spend.
Restaurants that you HAVE to try...
For pizza try Pequods, Lou Malnatis (best deep dish imo, but you should try all), Giordanos, and Connies Pizza.
You have to check out Portillos, I recommend getting a big beef dipped and if you like cheese, get it with cheese. If you like hotdogs you have to try Gene and Judes its in the burbs, but it’s worth it.
You also have to try Harolds Chicken.
If you like wings there’s a bunch of places you can check out, but I recommend Buffalo Joes.
You gotta try out some taquerias unless you’re from somewhere that has great Mexican food. There’s honestly a bunch, personally I like Taqueria La Asadero and La internacional tacos.
If you’re a burgers person theres a bunch you can try out, I recommend Bad Apple, Small Cheval FOR SURE, Kumas Corner, BRGRBELLY, and Paradise Pub.
You should go on Maxwell Street there’s a bunch of places there.
If you’re willing to spend a lot of money, you should try Alinea, the RPMs, Cité, and Au Cheval.
For breakfast you HAVE to try Wildberry, other than that there’s a bunch of good breakfast joints around the whole city (idk where in Chicago you’ll be), but Bryn Mawr Breakfast Club, Bongo Room, Eggsperience.
If you’re into Mediterranean food, check out my family’s place in Lincoln Park. I’m Lebanese so trust me when I say there’s no place in Chicago like it, it’s as close to authentic that you’ll get in the USA, and I guarantee you won’t be disappointed, it’s called Cedar Palace.
Thats it for restaurants I’m probably missing a couple joints.
For things to do, I don’t know what will be open tbh, but Millennium Park (the bean), Adler Planetarium, Navy Pier, Sears/Willis Tower, Tilt360, United Center (MJ statue), ride bikes on the lakefront, Chinatown, etc.
Are you interested in checking out the nightlife? If you are, there’s so many places, but it depends on your preference. For a younger crowd I’d recommend Lincoln Park and Wrigley. River North area is also good, but usually tends to be an “older” (25+) crowd and you tend to spend more money. Enjoy and feel free to hmu @21

3 people, all 22, spending money unlimited

I don’t know what will be open tbh in 3 weeks, but since y’all are 22 I’d say go to Lincoln Park it’s a nice spot for a younger crowd. Rivernorth will be fun I recommend Joy District and Federales. Both are extremely fun in the summer especially Federales. They have like an outdoor patio and you get shots in these ice made shot glasses and after taking a shot you throw it at this bell. Sorry if that was a bad explanation, but it’s fun asf lol. Some nice rooftop places are Godfrey, Londonhouse, Cindys Rooftop, Joy District, and Tavern on Rush.
forgot to add this, but if you're interested in fashion too:
Sahil if you into Southeast Asian stuff. really interesting stuff there, but it's niche af
independence has great workwear stuff, but you prob heard of them already
look around oak street, that's where a bunch of boutiques are located.
merz apothecary (lincoln square) for skincare/hair products/fragrances. that s*** is like my mecca
for vintage stuff, check out Kokorokoko on n. milwaukee avenue. mostly 80's/90's stuff tho
goat
After you go to Millenium Park to see the Bean go to Cindy’s Rooftop Bar across the street (assuming it’s open at the time)
The other guy said Giordano’s was overrated, true or not true?
giordanos the best deep dish
aurelios the best thin crust
lou malnatis trash
how much of the s*** people are telling you to try is even going to be open in 3 weeks? mfs didn't social distance at all last night, probably another spike in 2-3 weeks
