They definitely are. A completely portless iPhone was one thing Steve really wanted to achieve. Might've already had it if he was still around.

I think that's their main goal

If you're a company, you like to have control of everything - that's what they all strive for

So, having everything integrated is probably their main goal since even beginning in the "product & services" business.

They're playing a tricky game by having phones with inferior features compared to Android devices but what they improve upon is what they want the most is that - integration. I think they're willing to sacrifice a lot of opinions just to get to where they wanna be at & then being like - this is where we are, f*** with us or don't
