Olympus OM-1 / OM-10 is kinda the generic classic and will teach you all of the fundamentals

It can be such an expensive hobby though. Past the camera, the film rolls and paying for photos to be developed can really beat ur ass

If you wanna just get something that you don’t even have to learn or touch, you can get those disposable 1 use point and shoot film cameras at most photography shops for super cheap and look nice

Film is expensive you gotta buy new rolls and pay for old ones to be developed. Should practice with iPhone for a month or two and then get one that way ur not learning the basics blowing thru rolls

Pentax K1000, a crude block that will manage to somehow shoot film. Can find them at thrifty stories for dirt cheap. Or online for nice prices as well.

Once you feel like that ancient prototypical relic is holding back your artistic ability , you can then upgrade to a better camera or larger film format

Theres a couple of K mount cameras you can find for dirt cheap, Ricohs and the Sears name brand ones come to mind. If you want a rangefinder, go with the Konica Auto S2 cause almost everything else is absurdly priced now

I heard Konicas SLRs are also good, never tried them but they are on the cheaper side

Imo you’re better off with a used and fully functional 35mm SLR. There are a lot that can be had under $100 online , and at a thrift store you’ll snag em for under $50 all day
