Nobody wants crisp pics like that
i’m a bit confused. the iPhone gives you crisp pics as opposed to an actual camera? is that a bad thing?
amazing shots. any tips on how to get better at taking photos?
Study composition, look at things like paintings and of course other photographs for inspiration, also learn the more technical, “academic” aspects like the rule of thirds, golden ratio, etc.
Exposing the shot itself is a different subject, if you’re using a fully manual camera learn the relationship between ISO, aperture and shutter speed, basically all 3 have to be in equilibrium depending on the lighting. Sunny 16 is a good method if your camera doesn’t have a light meter. Eventually when you get better at exposure you can try experimenting with over or underexposure to create different effects. Although usually with film underexposure is a no go cause it tends to make everything muddy, but sometimes it can be a cool effect especially with gritty city scenes imo.

He’s talking about shooting film, a lot of people like the vintage look of grainy film. Altho to be honest a good film stock has far more detail resolving power than a phone camera sensor

what cameras give you that grainy look? would a fuji xt20 give you the same look?

For digital you can get a similar look thru editing, I think some of the fuji digital cameras have built in film filters but not sure which ones. Thing is, it won’t really look the same if you ask me but it’s close enough

What you’re looking at should make you feel something.
Don’t look for it, act when the moment washes over you

people on reddit taking too long to answer so imma try asking you
Will I be able to take pictures like this with a:
Sony Alpha 7 III + 28-70mm lens?
or
Sony Alpha A7C + 28-60mm f/4-5.6 Lens Kit
Or do I really need a wider lens? (info from real estate photography)
Keep in mind, a lot of gardens I'll be visiting to take pictures of the projects will be a lot smaller so I won't be able to back out as much as in these pictures.

Those are both so similar man, I don’t think you’ll have any issues taking those types of photos with those camera or lenses
For indoor shoots, you might want something closer to a 14mm though.
I’m not familiar with how wide real estate photographers go lens wise

Thanks brother. That helps a lot
Ive been using a Canon EOS 500D 18-55mm for shots like these
But I feel like the 15mp and it not being full frame makes the project pictures look like ass, so need to rent a camera for a month to make it work and those 2 are the only reasonable priced ones
