Whatever it is, it may be the future of literature. Zadie Smith’s prediction of interactive, multimedia fiction may come true soon

It’s not a poem, and it’s not a short story. Could it be a SubStack?

    Venus as a boy

    An essay

I think in format yes but creative non fiction and essays take so much research it’s not quite as spontaneous as a Tweet

Also no one reads essays in popularity. Everyone has a favourite Tweet. Unsure how many have a favourite essay. I have a few though

If you think it’s an essay do let me know! I’m not right and I can’t say no until something fits my need

I genuinely think there’s a format out there that fits this bill I just can’t think rn

Oh I guess non-news articles and blog posts like you said. I might download Threads because I hear their character limit is longer at 500

    Confessional short stories?

letters to Wendy’s exists already which is kind of that just w the theme of Wendy’s but it’s also a bad book imo. Would be cool to see more stuff like that, confessions of an English opium eater style but shorter

I guess I just meant stream of consciousness non sequitur or non linear type writings, but I’ve read nothing by Burroughs so I’m just going off what I hear
