I noticed that people who actually prefer and enjoy wearing a mask outside of absolute necessity are usually ugly or awkward and it gives them something to hide behind

this is what the people ultimately want. This is the lifestyle they feel is best. That is why it was so easy for them to take over.

Dear friend, it will take a long time to feel better and you will always have a hole the size of your brother in your heart. It is OK to grieve and it shows how much you loved him.
But as long as you are alive so is his memory. Maybe one day when you have kids you can tell them stories about their uncle and what a great brother he was to you with a smile on your face.
I wish you and your family much strength in this difficult time. Perhaps this can change your perspective on life and bring your family closer together. There is a silver lining on every dark cloud.
Your brother would want you to always take care of yourself. Focus on trying to survive and function for now. I am talking about eating regularly, drinking enough water, sleeping, taking care of personal hygiene, getting fresh air...start with the basics so you don't get lost in the abyss. As time goes on, the wounds won't disappear, but you will get stronger and learn how to deal with them.
Much love and may God be with you my friend. Take care of yourself and your family. And may your brother find eternal peace

When we face life and death, we change our priorities and the way we carry ourselves. Of course everyone will die, but some pass away too young and it hurts us deeply. It shows us that tomorrow is promised to no one and that every day is precious. So please take care of your basic functioning as a human being first and your family for now. And allow yourself to reminisce and grieve. After a while, I am sure you will learn to celebrate the memories with him and will always carry a piece of his heart with you wherever you go. I love you my man.

thank u for this as well, I love u too bro, the concept of whats a "complete\fufilled" life has been the main thing f***ing with me. Noone deserves death like this but for someone with a heart as pure as my brothers it just wasnt his time. I could say things like it shoulda been me but he'd smack me for it. Everything I do from now on is for him and I truly believe in the long run I will make him proud

You got this! Start slow and work your way up. Every little thing is a success. It starts with simple stuff like not neglecting hygiene and eating normally and goes on and on. Be realistic and don't pressure yourself. Every step forward no matter how small is a win for you.
