JTBarrettIVi like Pooh Shiesty a lot but i think his ceiling depends on his versatility he got one flow he been doing forreal and its hard but i could see him being like DaBaby where he’s commercially viable but has everyone tired of him by the end of the year. i hope not though 7.62 God one of the best songs of last year

Why can’t street rappers be artists?
Most cannot be artistes because they are not talented/gifted enough to be an artist. Example Meek Mill/NBA Youngboy are street rappers and they do struggle to become mainstream. I even could put Lil Durk in that category. Drake/J-Cole/Post Malone(might not be called a rapper by most)/Kendrick Lamar are artistes. Artist and street rapper are two totally different things. Most rappers fit in both categories and others can only fit in the rapper category. I might be wrong with my ideology.

Youngboy is a dope rapper but he does struggle to be come mainstream. Like the guy has the talent but something is blocking him. It may be his songwriting skills/image/etc.
