    They are not mainstream(60% street and 40% mainstream). Youngboy is a dope rapper but he does struggle to be come mainstream. Like the guy has the talent but something is blocking him. It may be his songwriting skills/image/etc.

    both have hundreds of millions of streams, they are mainstream artists because they are both popular

    Yes they are popular but it doesn't always mean because a rapper is popular that he or she is an artist. Producers and people who study 🎶 understand the difference between an artist/street rapper.

    This might be far fetched but I think he could be like the Youngboy of Memphis, like he would be mainstream enough to get a lot of top 40 hits and 100k+ fw sales but I don't see him getting huge pop hits like the DaBabys, the Lil Babys and The Roddy Ricches.

    21 Savage is a charisma blackhole with mid music and still was on the radio a ton at one point. Depends what machine gets behind him.
