a good subreddit if you want to be updated on new stock or deals is

And this

And this
yea i just added it also
That is highly dependent on the type of music you listen to
The fact that you even have to take those things into consideration is stupid

I'm stoned as f*** so when I saw it in your message after I replied I got so confused
the most fun way to listen to tunes for me. Has a unique sound and it’s fun to collect.

We get it. You don't like vinyl.

It's a fact? A***og records from the 60s-80s will sound better than whatever streaming you listen to. And there are plenty of re-issues that use remastered a***og source material so even if there's a single pop due to embedded dust, it will sound better than whatever digital stream you're listening to. So yeah, it does depend on what you listen to. No s*** a DaBaby vinyl isn't gonna sound better than streaming. You really have no clue what you're talking about buddy
I like having a collection that’s only appealing to me I like listening to a record when I’m playing a game or chilling and it’s my main focus I also like having a home stereo set up that’s uniquely my own and I know it sounds good I use to like going to get records pre covid at a record store what I don’t like are people who buy records because they’re limited and don’t care for the music at all and think having a valuable record collection means the most that s*** is just cringy yeah it’s cool to have records you like that went up in time but the purpose of you getting the record was to enjoy it in the first place not because it’s worth a lot of money
The fact that you even have to take those things into consideration is stupid
Some music is mixed for digital then slammed onto vinyl with no re mix/master. I call those pressings dodo, and they are usually the ones made for urban outfitters.
Then you have vinyl pressings that they cannot correctly convert to digital. I would call those digital copies dodo.
Them designs on the actual record are raw
I been meaning to buy a record player and just collect some of my favorite ones
Also I'll add that I find a lot of older music by buying 99¢ vinyls.
I find it fun and I have found a lot of my favorite albums that way
Just a cool experience to put a record on through some nice speakers and really focus on what you're listening to. Vinyl crackle can add a lot to certain genres (old school house, blues and folk, some jazz). The artwork is objectively better as well.

And when you've listened to that album a dozen times and it starts to wear then what?
If you leave it by a windowsill for a bit too long and it warps then what?
If you wanna listen to it literally anywhere other than your virgin cave then what?
I promise you I know what I'm talking about, records are unsustainable and you're moving backwards the vast majority of the time.

The majority of what everyone listens to is the top classification.
Yes if you have a dope setup and listen to a Third Man pressing that was recorded specifically for vinyl pressing its gonna sound amazing, but that's not always the case

They look cool but fair warning, majority sound like absolute s*** because they're basically half as thick as a normal vinyl, and the other half that would normally be vinyl is replaced with the picture you see. So the grooves aren't as deep and there tends to be more static and surface noise. Cool for display purposes though
I used to have a collection that'd s*** on most people itt
But aye as long as you enjoy them I'm just a guy
A good set up should run you $200 and you shouldn’t spend more than $30 per record. Also, don’t buy records made after the ‘90s
@Bow_And_Arrow i said it all and no one cared
Last time I updated my list I had about 450 vinyls and I'm still looking to add more once Amoeba opens back up in April. I've got a nice lil setup in my living room.

100% agree it took me a long time to get over that.
When I found out a bluetooth turn table was a thing I nearly had an aneurysm. But I understand it now haha.
Some people just collect vinyl to collect it, couldn't care less what it sounds like, just cool because it's vinyl. Power to em. At least someone is making some money off of music that way, and people are enjoying the music.
