I've always heard passages and quotes from his writings and know plenty about the man himself but i never really read his books from beginning to end
Thinking about checking out at least these:
What's the best order to read these and am i missing anything urgent that i should get through first?
Also where do i start with his shorter teachings? Talking about the Libri teachings class A-E
Crowley ain't that interesting or spectacular. Go read something more insightful. Or if you're interested in Crowley watch a Doc. F*** his books
The satanist? How about you get into something else?
How about nah, i'm curious to read the things he said himself, instead of going off exaggerated stories from people that never met the guy
Whether you like him or not he did have a significant influence on the occult and i'm very interested in reading more about his work before judging his character
Also, he wasn't a satanist he was more of a early troll calling himself the great beast 666. It was moreso a jab at christianity because he was raised so strictly

I've seen some docs but they're about his life. I wanna know about his studies. A lot of people are prejudiced against him but he did know a lot about the Jewish kaballah etc which is very fascinating stuff
He was a troll, and most likely a huge d***, but he also wasn't a dumb guy. He knew his s***, and i think it would be interesting to read about
Unrelated but thats such a badass name
Kinda reminds me of Alucard
Anyway hope you found what you were looking for OP
@op just probably read the book of the law or something idk, clearly most of the people responding have zeroooo clue about how to answer your question,
Some of it might very well be rambling though, like yarrow said
there's probably also other occult literature he was influenced by, and more that he then influenced,
so I guess if u don't love what he has to offer u can look at other stuff,
They seemed a bit of a whole nothing to me, i'd recommed you to read either the Bible (King James Version) or the Quran instead of his derivative writtings.

The people trying to dissuade you from reading books of your choice is f***ing scary. Perfect representation of one major flaw of the world today
OP just so you know, he did troll a lot but he also spoke in codes frequently. He may say one thing that actually means something totally different to those who "get" it, and it can make a huge difference in the real meaning. Sometimes it may be something lowkey about child molestation, for example, as he was big into s***magick. Just a heads up

Ive heard this, but i’m not sure what to do with the information like the way i see it all i can do is be somewhat informed in Thelema, OTO teachings and the Kaballah (and its relation with the Thoth deck) and hope to “get” it as much as possible
I’ve only read Moonchild, which was a pretty interesting novel. Believe it influenced Twin Peaks to some degree iirc. It’s funny seeing people try to dissuade you from reading his work though, he’s more of an overweight troll than some monster lol.

Yeah absolutely. I meant to say something to that effect too. Just check em out and enjoy, you take what you take from it like any other book

No hate but u obviously dont know about Crowley. Bro was right talking about codes, Aleister Crowley was actively putting red herrings in his writings, he’s infamous for stuff like that
Also, he’s got countless books. I wasn’t sure where to start (like i said in my other post Crowley was into a LOT of stuff and pulled from everything like Jewish kaballah to his own Thelema). I thought people who were into this kind of stuff could help me out so i made the thread simple as that
Idk why you coming with that energy towards one of the few people that was actually trying to add something to this thread

Imagine trying to explain this to God and he's there listening to you, lol. You niggas must love misery.
