  • I’ve been on the Everyplate wave lately but honestly I can’t trust delivery places with meats cause food poisoning from meat and seafood is way scarier than from vegetables you know how Popson died? Food poisoning. I don’t wanna get caught up like that but I don’t wanna keep living off prepackaged s***. It’s exhausting but believe me I’m trying

Eating healthy isn't really difficult when you break it down.

Your body needs a certain amount of macronutrients ( which is carbohydrates, fats, and proteins) and micronutrients (which is vitamins and minerals). the micro/macro is because your body needs more macros than it does micros your body needs micros in smaller amount in comparison to macros.

That being said the sort of food that you eat should fulfill your micronutrient needs first, and then your macronutrient needs.

There isn't like a set amount per macro that you need because that entirely depends on what you are wanting to do with your diet specifically. Like say if you want to lose weight you would want to be eating less macros in total so the amount does matter depending on your end goal. If you are just wanting to maintain where you are currently at you can google up a calculator that asks you your age/height/weight and it'll give you a general calorie base count of what you are wanting to hit. If you are off by a small amount in the end it won't truly matter.

I’ll admit I’ve been having my reality skewed a lot recently with anxiety controlling me about this. If you ever seen Breaking Bad where Hank was always freaking out over nothing like in the elevator, that’s how I’ve been the past 1 and a half months I believe, and I believe it’s ultimately for the best cause I’ve realized that while I’ve lost a lot of weight and put me in that ideal spot, the way I’ve lost it is not a sustainable lifestyle I can keep going with. And I’ve done s*** with multiple doctors and hospital people that show me that while everything in my body currently isn’t in critical condition and are fine, i still have lots of work to do here. S*** like feeling lightheaded for 5 seconds if I get up or even do stretches. A lot of people in my family died in their 50s cause they didn’t take their health seriously and I wanna avoid that. And I’ll admit I’ve been doing alright work in researching and putting that to good use, and using Fooducate as my friend. But reaching out for other pointers can’t hurt.

What I ultimately want my diet to be is maintenance and balanced. Cause no matter how many calories I lose after eating a Big Mac (hypothetically), I still put the evils of the Big Mac in my body

I feel I should speak to a dietitian to educate me or summ but I really don’t know where to begin on all this

The thing is that you can still balance your diet around eating that big mac it just depends on what you eat (or don't you can fast) throughout the rest of the day.

Fasting is actually a very good thing for your diet as well, it's not really talked about much but it lowers your bodies blood sugar levels and allows your body to do ketosis which lets it rid itself of fat.

Anyways, that being said you'll want to look up avg micro nutrients you need on a daily basis and start by looking at foods that can satisfy that day to day amount. Once you've figured that out is when you should then look at where you are at with your calories needed to maintain your current weight. Subtracting the calories from the foods necessary to hit the micro nutrient amounts. Then you'll want to hit a balance of macros being aware of your daily amounts necessary for each macro, until you hit whatever caloric amount you need to maintain.

Oh I been on fasting for awhile now mostly to lose weight but I lost what I need to and maybe I should be trying the 3 meals a day normal type beat I’ve been trying recently for the past week. Really I been feeling no different than what I normally feel when doing 16/8 fasting (used to do Ramadan type fasting for awhile actually where I don’t eat when the suns up but idk if that’s sustainable past Ramadan periods or not)

With fasting anything over 24 hours can cause issues. Anything less than that is perfectly healthy. With eating 3 meals a day you have to keep track of much more stuff because you're eating more throughout the day. The rate at which you get hungry is dependent on your current eating schedule, like your body will over time secret ghrelin whenever you 'usually' eat. You can in fact change this and your body will adjust to the new schedule but it makes no difference to your body if you fast or not in the end as long as you're hitting the correct amount of micronutrients and macronutrients.

So would multivitamin supplements aid in getting the micronutrients?
