What would you rather him say at his old age, how many b****es he f***ed that day

    another KTTism

    Classique

The problem is he was speaking to people that can’t even scrape together to afford any property but the sentiment was good people throw away their money on nonsense when they could build wealth to make their future generations lives easier and he was rapping about stuff like this since he came out of retirement

Personally I see it as motivation but he’s really talking to other MC’s on a lot of it

444 is a good album in a vacuum but I don't like how he approaches the "mature" themes. Very vapid and forgettable

  • Jay wasn’t telling people to buy art he was saying he had so many opportunities to build his wealth even more than it is now but he was more concerned with buying a CL600 instead of property. We have opportunities all around us everyday even if it’s buying a share or two of Nvidia stock he was preaching the principles that scale to any level

4:44 great example for old man rap, better than any Nas or Em old ah projects lol

I was a freshman in college when it came out it inspired me to take my finances seriously and learn more about it and make the most of whatever I could scrape together maybe i’d receive it differently if the world made me jaded

    Hard disagree about the production

What beats aged bad to you?

Lowkey I think it’s cuz the production is laidback so Jay can get his raps off. If you’re not feeling what he’s saying, you can’t fall back to the production cuz it’s so tied to the lyrics. the beats by themselves are still good.

Okay I just re-listened and add Bam and Moonlight to list of good songs. I’m upgrading it to a very good album. Just not a classic

the introspection is cool but i always loved that album cus he’s rapping at the highest level when he’s 50 and already a billionaire. he really didn’t have to make music ever again and he did it for the love of the game

  • Jerry Seinfeld: so what’s the big deal with Jay-Z’s 4:44?

  • Bmezy

Nothing wrong with what he said.

Everything being debatable doesn’t mean everything should be debated

    TF does this even mean?

  • A lot of fans have a parasocial father-son relationship with their favorite rapper. Most obvious ones are Kanye and Jay Z

  • Jay Z is so f***ing ugly
