I’m trying to make it to at least a year with this company but me don’t think I’ll make it that long

Edit: for context I've been here for six months already

    depends on a couple circumstances

    • entry-level roles ASAP if you can find something better. i'd make it out of training at least though lol. my first job out of college i only stayed at for 5 months.
    • if you're like in a mid-career role or higher it's probably best to build some tenure there in your role, or you might raise some eyebrows in interviews. those kind of roles i'd stay at least 9 months to a year.

I enjoy where I work and the people I work with so I don’t really think about these things.

    I haven’t actually quit a job either.

There are so many companies hiring right now, I'd start looking around if you're unhappy at your current company.

Only gonna have 6 years TIS at the end, my contract is 6 years.

Do all officers gotta do that 10 year commitment thing?

Low key might drop a flight packet and become a warrant if I do decide to stay in

I’m on the officer side of things bro

They offered me an rotc scholarship and offered to pay for my school+ housing and I signed it like a dumbass two years ago in exchange for 8 years active duty and my time in doesn’t start until I commission

How quickly can someone move into an intermediate position in a corporate setting?

And what kind of corporate setting are we talking about like some normal office type s***?

  • Oct 14, 2021

Idk I’m working a good job rn thst I like, kinda afraid of getting fired tho my performance is kinda trash. But it’s only been a month so 🤷‍♀️

  • Oct 14, 2021

I could see myself staying here for a while if I can get up to speed

I think aviation is the only one with 10 year commitment but I might be wrong. I don’t see how people can look at that commitment and be like “sign me up” when unless you’re warrant by the time you’re O3 you’re not even flyin

And yeah I heard warrant is the way to go, those dudes got it made don’t show up for formation, don’t gotta play the f*** f*** games of enlisted and political s*** of the officer world, just chillin and being an “expert”

As soon as I get a better offer. But for my current situation, idk how much I wanna pay. As a dude who lives in Georgia, I think I need at least 80-90K to f*** with these corporate niggas. Ain't no cap.
