One of my friends who worked for Amazon recently quit, was gonna apply for their warehouse position but lowkey glad I didn't

FedEx warehouse loading packages into trucks

They had this timer up on the wall and you had to hit a certain amount of packages labelled, scanned, and packed in an hour.

Problem is the number always changed and went higher the faster you went

Quit after a month, s*** was a literal sweatshop

Next time you work there again make sure it’s a delivery station location those are easy

Plus they made me traffic control so I was outside directing traffic for an 1 hour and chilled in my car

Home Depot customer service was trash, way over-tasked and understaffed

Walmart assistant store manager was a mixed bag. Paid a lot and was kinda fun but also f***ing trash some days.

Can’t speak for all stores but the store I was in pretty much would take your hours away if you couldn’t reach a quota for the warranties or if you couldn’t sell enough pre owned games.

They would encourage us to lie to people about what we had in stock.

And they would over staff so you’d have to compete for hours. I hated it

When i was 16, some dude outside of my HS offered us a job, no interview just come to orientation. Turns out it was weedman and i'd be going door to door trying to sell fertilizer or some s***. Got super amped thinking about how i landed a job and soon realized how terrible the job actually was. Never showed up to an actual shift, guy kept calling me and swearing at me for wasting his time.
    felt good.

I’ve had many s*** jobs but the worst one was probably being one of those ISP service seller. Those that knock on your door and you ignore until they leave

It had its moments. Like no manager around you and a lot of down times. Some girls in the team were hot and s***ty. Could eat anywhere for lunch and despite only having 2 hours of break officialy, all paid, the job was more like 5 hours of break per shift.

But the pay isn’t enough for how uncomfortable, boring and lonely it can be. The money they give you for gas is spent within a week easy and they pay you every other week so you would have to use part of that pay just for gas. Sure you get a very nice bonus for every sale but those are rare and hard to come by. It was the kind of job that you go in just for a couple weeks to meet new people and sell to all your friends and family to cash in a lot of bonuses real quick.

I have one big tip for everybody since I worked there though. Those people knocking on your door actually have the best offers. So next time give them a chance if you have time.
