I used to be transphobic when I was younger. Attack helicopter jokes, thought trans folks were gross, made the same dumb talking points that get regurgitated when someone reveals their identity to you.

Then I grew up, and realized that 1.) it takes far more energy and investment to be irrationally hateful towards a group of people who have never wronged you and 2.) it's not funny nor cool to be a s***head.

To answer OP, the folks who are transphobic are either young, ignorant, or both. Be a better person.
