crazy that Chappelle got called out for making it but he can fun of every-other sexual orientation n nobody bats an eye. He makes trans jokes and everyone loses their minds.

That's because transphobia is deeply linked with misogyny as well. Those "traditional" ideologues go hand-in-hand with determining what a woman should be like or do-- so a transwoman does not fit that "model" that bigots envision and grade by.

They're not off limits and I've never seen anyone try to say that but not every joke is a hit. People can have all different kinds of opinions and if he got a bad reception it's probably because a majority thought it just wasn't funny if Chappelle can make trans jokes why aren't people allowed to criticize them? We're all free to make them just like we can comment on them, that's equality.
