Also slight blemishes, dings, and scratches are more noticeable on a wrap. That’s why you see many older cars wrapped matte because the finish doesn’t expose blemishes like one that shine would.
The only time you want to wrap a car if the paint/body is in new or very good condition.

Those resellers do it all the time, but yeah you dont want the wrap to over stay its welcome. Just like with paint you want to take care of it & take it off if its deteriorating. Paint does last longer but wrap os way more easily swappable with way less the money so imo it balances out.
Forgot to mention tho on cars from the 60s n back those are usually really hard/annoying to wrap with all their intricate grooves n curves n generally isnt worth it. Plus with a car like that most people are usually keeping it forever along with their dream design they always wanted, so paint is also better there as well.
Paint is higher quality overall but wrap since the 2010s has been really good & its quality has improved major.
