For me it's the glorious 40k
It's really a feast after seeing sum decades worth of work poured into it. Ngl I'm on my scholar s*** soaking up the lore knowledge, discovering theories and love that they still advancing the setting, it keeps on giving
I always toy with this idea to make a film based on one of the faction warhammer40k.fandom.com/wiki/Genestealer_Cult has potential to be a great tier scifi and I feel it's the right approach to get people be invested with the universe instead of the poster boy Space Marines
trap ross lore obvs
I've dabbled in both fantasy and 40K Warhammer lore, and them joints some next level fire. Like when you go beyond just playing the games and really dig deep...
Them Necrons so damn sexy

Halo. The forerunners and the flood is really interesting.
Mass Effect. The universe's history is just really fantastic
Im not big on fantasy but Game Of Thrones really got me into it
I'd put up Overwatch if they dove more into it
this may be pedestrian but Star Wars
imo coolest settings/planets, creatures/races music.. i think the vehicles and wardrobe are cool
idk i’m not a big lore guy
Matrix
Watchmen
I will say that DC comics in general have always made me wanna dive in more

I love 40k it's one of my favourite settings, doing a story on the genestealer cult/tyranids would be a great idea. Personally though I'm a big fan of Chaos aswell as the Ecclesiarchy and Inquisition. While the space marines are the face of the franchise (particularly Papa Smurf and his boys) I do agree that focusing on a lesser known faction for a movie/TV would be great, the Eisenhorn series purportedly in the works will hopefully be amazing. Warhammer Fantasy is also great aswell, but I'll always prefer 40k (or 30k since the Horus Heresy is probably my favourite lore wise). Who's your favourite Primarch btw?
define the specifics of lore that you intend for people to answer with
Any universe where the lore is expansive I guess, could be entirely fantasy or scifi

I've never tried the tabletop games but that side always look cool (I get that's what get them to keep moving forward with the narrative)
The whole thing about Necron where they betray their God and proceed to turn them into essentially batteries to power stuff 😆 my fav Necron is the one guy who's pretty much the universe Pokemon master

Yuh ME has always been something else, I don't mind if we get more from the IP honestly

Horus Heresy is the equivalent of Berserk's Golden Age, hard to top that storyline
Look I'm such a fan of the Blood Angels, but recently Jaghatai Khan is the most interesting primarch (and one of the underrated too). Based on how he'll return to the settings and how they hype him up as unknown factor during the heresy guy is such an enigma and im a sucker for that kinda thing

Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul
Star Wars
Marvel
Bojack Horseman
Stopped caring About Game of Thrones lore after Season 4, still interesting stuff.
Halo
It’s hard to answer that for me because i don’t know what’s the appropriate amount of lore for it to be considered expansive.

Same. So many routes they could go too without even relying on previous stories
