Horus Heresy is the equivalent of Berserk's Golden Age, hard to top that storyline

Look I'm such a fan of the Blood Angels, but recently Jaghatai Khan is the most interesting primarch (and one of the underrated too). Based on how he'll return to the settings and how they hype him up as unknown factor during the heresy guy is such an enigma and im a sucker for that kinda thing

That is pretty true lol, particularly with how all the various black library novels and general lore has been expanded over time.

Yeah the Khan is a very interesting character, did his own thing during the great crusade and only went with the loyalists after finding out what actually went on. Then after it was done ended up in the webway where he probably still is lol. My favourite overall is probably Fulgrim I just love his character and story overall, find him quite tragic with how he even turned tbh. Some other close favourites would have to be Curze, Khan and the Lion for me

Avy to fav primarch ratio lol. But yeah I think I haven't exactly covered every primarch story, just that I'm assured on who's side they currently are. It feels like my favorites gets all tossed up, whoever turn that gets exposure then that's the one I dig

Going meta tho what's your thought on Black Library (GW)? personally I feel like they are doing actually decent job atm with advancing the setting

Yeah I'm thinking of making my next dp Fulgrim tbh lol, they're pretty much the same guy both visually and in the fact they both end up as demons in the end.

That's fair, I've still got a few that I know the general story of but still need to read their specific novels. Bobby G probably still has the most material overall, but I think the next big focus seems like it'll be Magnus cause of the psychic awakening going on atm. Yeah I like black library overall, most of the books are pretty high quality and they do a great job of fleshing out the setting more and more. The ones I've read have helped me see various characters in a way more personal sense, and has made me fans of some I wasnt too big on before

For me it's the glorious 40k

It's really a feast after seeing sum decades worth of work poured into it. Ngl I'm on my scholar s*** soaking up the lore knowledge, discovering theories and love that they still advancing the setting, it keeps on giving

I always toy with this idea to make a film based on one of the faction https://warhammer40k.fandom.com/wiki/Genestealer_Cult has potential to be a great tier scifi and I feel it's the right approach to get people be invested with the universe instead of the poster boy Space Marines

any books u can recommend op? love necrons and tau and looking for some easily digestible s*** with an epic battle

`He wants to be left alone,' said Fulgrim. To shoot off into the stars and hunt down xenos on those delightful jetbikes. They're devilishly fast. I heard from a contact on Mars, Jaghatai, that you do strange things to your ships.'

The Khan shot him a heavy-lidded stare. 'I heard you do strange things to your warriors.'

Fulgrim's slender face briefly flared with anger, but Sanguinius laughed.

    Ooof

I still need to read up on PA event, does seem to be the next big focus. The thing that happened to the Ynnari faction recently though was comically bad

The Horus Heresy -> Siege on Terra books but I've heard the Eisenhorn series gets recommended often too

My own exposure though has always been through browsing the r/40klore and then it would connect to reading the wiki pages (preference: 1d4chan, Wikia, Lexicanum). The xenos doesn't get as much love as the Imperium factions so their books have always been lacking

Say if I want to look into the Necrons I'd read this 1d4chan.org/wiki/War_in_Heaven

While for the Tau it's 1d4chan.org/wiki/Farsight

For me I'd just go to pages after that, so like down the rabbit hole of wiki pages

But fr if I'm going to pick up the books the Fabius Bile - Progenitor series is what I'd cop and pretty much everything by ADB and Dan Abnett, they're Black Library goat tier staple authors

He got him good tbf, thing is Fulgrim now wouldn't even care compared to then

Psychic Awakening could be pretty interesting tbh, the ynnari (and eldar as a whole) have been shafted quite a bit recently haven't they lol. The conflict with them and Slaanesh is great, it's on their race for birthing it after all
