This is why I stayed off KTT my first and second listen. Don’t let anyone set an expectation for you before you listen. I woulda been annoyed reading this thread before the album. This is his best work since 2016 for sure, and maybe since If you’re reading this imo. Better on the 2nd listen too.

Finished second listen and yeah I'm still sitting on a 6/10 for it. First half of the album is so flat imo

ngl i'm a bit salty about love all not having a second half anymore (like the leaked version of it without jay on it)

first listen is positive, but yeah, drake still comfortable doing what he's always been doing. if that's not for you i can see how you can be disappointed with it.

his formula is too successful to really play around with it for much; still, the album feels complete and has some A+ productions and lines

and honestly: something needs to be done about that kanye situation. is this like the 3rd project where he's a subject? lol

To be fair, Ye throwing subs on his album too lol. Also Drake is a Scorpio, they hold grudges like no other. If you don’t fw zodiac ignore that part though 🤣

not gonna lie, not tooo crazy about the beat selection .... album is probably a grower ..... don't know why that Kodak Black joint isn't on this, probably my biggest disappointment.

• Some weak ass singles compared to past albums

Lot of good songs overall outside of this top 5

• I think Fountain, IMY2, Get Along Better and Race My Mind probably would be better singles. I think some of those songs got the most spins right now because of the features but after the initial curiosity spins the ones I mentioned will probably chart higher.

Other things i want to mention :

-Nothing on this album really stands out, not the best intro he's ever done, not the best outro he's ever done, not the best AM/PM joint, not the best jay joint, not the best future joint ..... NOTHING on this album tops anything he did in the past.

• Facts. Nothing special about any of the songs on here compared to other albums. Views might have been a disappointment overall but it still had some of his best songs (Feel No Ways, Redemption, Weston Road Flows, Fire & Desire, etc). CLB got NOTHING I would knock any song out my top 20-30 songs for.

-He put the jigga verse on the WORNG SONG.... don't know how nobody in the ENTIRE CAMP didn't say anything

• He got a bunch of yes men for real. Drake in the RapRadar interview even awknowleged the fact that he messed up with getting Hov on a record like Talk Up because all people want to hear from those two when they on a song together is some straight lyrical 20+ bars s***..... Yet this nigga puts him on a record where he is singing... and replaces the best part of the song for a Hov song that doesn't belong there............. like what?

-Outro is probably the worst outro beat he's ever done

• I swear 90% of the beats Drake raps on now are minimalistic watered down s***. Remember when he used to rap on more unique beats (Worst Behavior for example) or beats that are way more elaborate and extravagant (Tuscan Leather for exampe). I miss that s***. Now he rapping on s*** like the Survival beat or beats like the ones on here and it's just... so boring. And he even sounds bored.

-Doubt this album has three BILLBOARD CHART KILLERS like Scorpion did, I'll be surprised if he get 3+ number ones, he'll get one or 2 MAX

• Yeah I was looking forward to him destroying the charts again but with songs like these it's probably going to be another Scary Hours situation where they will chart high 1 or 2 weeks for sure and then they all drop off a cliff.

-Beat selection once again, feel like he's missing a sold 3-4 straight bangers

• Yeah he really ain't got no Started From the Bottom, or Worst Behavior or Know Yourself or Energy or Nonstop.

-no drill beats

• S*** I would have preferred some drill songs and artists for the Atlanta niggas

-NO BOI 1DA ???!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF is really going on here. He's on DONDA?

• Absoltely crazy. Here I was preying that he'd produce most of CLB like IYARTITL and he ain't even on it at all.

-Album is a grower i'm sure, let's see how i feel in a few days

• Definitely ain't a grower to me I'ma feel the same way I feel about now the same way I'ma feel about it in a year or 2. Some great tracks that unfortunately never reaches the heights of some of his more amazing songs and they are drag down but a s*** ton of filler and dumb creative choices.

-Good final product overall, may be amazing in a week.....

• Happy for anyone that feel satisfied by this album but I just can't be. I hold him to a way higher standard. Or at least I did. Think I'ma stop now.
