the thing people hated the most about nu-metal is what ultimately gave it longer legs and that was the hip-hop element. which probably pisses off metal gatekeepers even more because that was the sole reason they hated the genre.

this era was sure a weird one tho. The popular s*** didn't really stay around too long after or become anything new.
