Was there any specific song/moment/year that placed him above everyone else?

Hearing this verse put him above Wayne for me and the gap got bigger every year since

Pretty sure this is when I went from casual fan to him being one of my favs

Right after WATTBA was when I thought he was the GOAT. When he became my fave was Take Care.

Once NWTS same dropped he became my undisputed fav artist. He was tied with Cole for a while for me but NWTS took him to another level in my book

‘08 and a year before Money to Blow, 4 my town etc were blasting on the radio. I knew then he was going to get the industry in a chokehold.

  • That young money compilation and his verse on Finale. Thousand dollar sweater on but I don’t ever sweat s***.

I think when I've heard Over my dead body

  • In 2013 we he dropped NWTS, & it was better than Rocky's lackluster debut Long.Live.A$AP. There weren't too many newer rappers that I was feeling outside of them, & Drake dropped the better project. Drake also has the better discography IMO.

Randomly found this song back in grade 9 when I'd moved schools and was instantly hooked by the rapping/singing combo and the confidence.

I'm sure it's the same for you guys over the years, but each album since that kinda just defined a different point in my life growing up.

Shortly after Over was released, there was a changing of the guard for me. I evolved from being a huge Wayne stan, to an all-out HUGE Drake stan lol

when he and timbaland put out say something i went from oh its jimmy to oh its drake

the beat was crazy and reminded me of my habesha roots, my parents loved the beat too so they were cool w drake. Plus when he helped bring some shine to the weeknd who's habesha too it made drake a king in the household lol

For sure, we got lucky he dropped nearly every year, I can always connect an album to each year in high school/uni
