Honestly never really cared for his music, cause i would just associate drake for his “hotline bling, one dance etc”, till the beginning of the year, when a good mate of mine told me to go back and listen to each album, starting from take care. And ever since, he’s all i can listen to. I would go at least a month or two, having one album on repeat and then move on to the next. He’s made it hard for me to listen to other artist’s, cause i seem to always look for his style in all the music i now listen to

Drake was always one of my favs as soon as comeback season dropped, but he became my fav once i heard the second part of fancy and then when he washed jay z on light up.

I knew Drake was king after take care. Loved every album after and he was always in my top 2 or 3 but I had always liked Kendrick better until this year really which is wild. Something about how Drake slid on War and When To Say When... and then just looking at the consistency over this decade plus run... I still think Kendrick discography is more flawless but I can’t continue to rank him over Drake... the Boy just on a whole nother level in too many other categories. Hoping CLB closes the gap between him and Kendrick when it comes to critical acclaim.
