ChamPacI really don’t think you can say he fell off quite yet in my opinion. The singing/R&B songs on FATD is as good as it’s been in a while for Drake and the rapping on Scary Hours is clearly top tier for Drake. Skillset wise, he has not fallen off at all imo.
It does seem like the public reaction to him is more and more negative with each project he drops. It also seems like the songs don’t completely connect in the same way with the public as it once seemed but he is by far still the most impactful rap artist out. Sales wise, culture wise and impact wise, he’s still the guy imo. I really do think him taking a break of at least a year before releasing another project will help him. I think people are legit tired of him and they need to miss him but Drake is a workaholic so I honestly don’t believe a break will happen lol. Some people are talking like he’s Eminem Revival bad and he’s nowhere near that level.

Cause its weird people dont connect to songs like Lose You imo. Thats prime drake right there, verses are so personal. People wouldve loved something like that in 2011

The revisionist history on Early drake is so funny. To imply that Drake fell off is to suggest that he was held up to a certain bar and that just wasn't the case. In real time, during "prime" drake, there was a real debate about whether or not he even had a classic album. Niggas are saying he fell off from an earlier point in his career in which he wasn't appreciated then anyway
That was a real thing. Niggas are only saying Drake fell off because it's a way to say Drake not nice.
Again, I don't think he's fallen off at all. He's just as sharp as a rapper, still giving you the incredible R&B, the DNA is almost the exact same. If you want to quibble with his content being a bit stagnant then sure, but Idk how you listen to his catalogue and notice a huge drop off at any point personally.

Not really a fall off per say but just a different type of listening experience to adjust to. Her Loss and Hnvm had that cohesive feeling I missed which explains why I like them more than anything else post Views
Jan 1Drake hasn't fallen off, but Scorpion and For All The Dogs were two albums I found myself not going back to a lot. I'll still go back to CLB before FATD. What saved FATD was Scary Hours 3. It's been on heavy repeat.
