The post views n More Life era for me personally.
Thats when something happened with him to me and he never quite got back to his pre Views self.
I think he was very very smelly and stinky 2016-2019
Tight af rn tho, dropped some of his best raps this year

Mob Ties and Nonstop so crazy though
More Life was ok but the feature run leading up to Scorpion was crazy
Scorpion onward is when it felt like he cared more about streams and records than making good albums
FATD is his worst in quality
Didn’t fall off, very culturally relevant
Washed would be the better word
Fell off creatively
Mob Ties and Nonstop so crazy though
Picking two songs across three years and not even a project is brazy
i knew it was over when he rapped i get green like earth day.
Chaining Tatum
Fell off creatively
His creations play a massive role in todays soundscapes whether they’re good or not
Washed? Sure, fell off? Nahhhh

Not really when Drake champions “playlist” mentality
don’t get me wrong he still makes good songs but his peak ended after IYRT and WATTBA. he just doesn’t make timeless music anymore.
Mods locked this down to drake sxn in record time
Mandem celebrate Eid
The trap still running on Christmas day
2019-2021 was kinda eh to me
Didn’t really feel whatever EP he dropped over the pandemic and the toosie slide song was whatever
Can’t remember many features from those years if he did any, the ones I remember like the gunna song was whatever
HL, HN, FATD have been a good streak though.
Tbh a true hiatus wouldn’t hurt Drake is reaching the point of very slight over saturation imo

Probably Views was the beginning on a rap tip
nowadays I really appreciate Views but I think it was the beginning of him being less invested in the music he made in some respects
More Life is a personal Classic
but Scorpion just solidified that the Drake of old is probably gone forever
I enjoy FATD & CLB for where they sit in his catalog, really love Her Loss more than anything he'd dropped since 2015 outside of ML
but a little bit of curation and adjustment to his last few albums could have been the difference between a B- to C grade album to an A or S tier album
I love Drake and he will always be one of my favorites though, I have praise to give for almost anything he drops
but it's just a bit frustrating that The Boy is seemingly not putting the same intent and effort into his albums even though he has more resources than ever before.
