2011 Wayne outsold Take Care first week and 2013 was Em album.
Wasn't until 2015 like I said that Drake dropped an album where he had the biggest first week, biggest hits and sold the most.
The singles off take care were insane though, he was setting records for like most top 40 hits at a time back then wasn't he? Some s*** like that. Couldn't go 10 minutes without hearing a Drake song on the radio.
2013 and NWTS was almost just as dominant with radio play.
He might've been outsold first week but people was actually listening to him all year long, c4 and MMLP2, not so much
Em completely left rap for 4 years. Wayne did a million in a week while he was gone.
I was talking 2010-2013
ye is an EP-like extra on top of two classics we got that year (DAYTONA, KSG), I see you man but people are so crazy about s***ting on Kanye for an album that was made in two weeks, JIK is still a great album for what it is, it is not for everyone ofc
MBDTF - Yeezus - TLOP are the three greatest albums of the 2010s tho
I'd put MBDTF in the top 3 of the decade but Yeezus and TLOP aren't even close, IMO
And it really doesn't even matter to me how rushed he decided to make the album, he still put it out. Kanye's quality suffers a lot from this rushed creative process he embraced from Yeezus-Ye

NWTS is the real answer for me if we talking about when his run "started", that s*** was big enough to be up there with the biggest at the time and it was the point where you basically knew Drake was going to be no1 commercially without doubt

also 2012 was 2 Chainz year

My guy the singles on Em album were also bigger too he had multiple top 10s and achieved another number 1.
Drake started dropping singles for NWTS in Feburary and didn't drop until September.
Em started dropping singles in August and didn't drop til November and out did Drake with less time b.
I get you like Drake but that doesnt mean you have to downplay Wayne and Em runs to do big him up.
The fact Drake run that year was so big and Em still came through and got a number 1 before him is a credit to Em run in the early half of the 2010s that includes Reocvery which had Love The Way You Lie which was bigger then any Drake track up until prolly his Scorpion era recently.
Em def outpaced Drake the start of the decade and had bigger songs with more play.
Again this isn't saying whose better but simply that Drake def didn't run the first half.
When you run s*** you can drop the last 5 months of the year and outdo the dude who was having the best run
arguably 2011 after TC or NWTS
concretely 2015 after IYRTITL WATTBA and Meek situation
And lowkey he’s only still looked at as the top guy based off the past couple years and No new niggas stepping up
I'd put MBDTF in the top 3 of the decade but Yeezus and TLOP aren't even close, IMO

I would understand the ye slander if Daytona and KSG didn't drop the same year, those two ended up on many year end lists. ye is my least favorite Kanye album though, I get you. However, Yeezus ended up on many people's decade end lists, including tons of critics and music listeners. I think we can't deny that the album was both critically acclaimed and praised by many fans. TLOP is debatable, I personally love the album to the core but that's just my opinion
Drake was on hiatus in 2012 when GKMC, he didn’t drop any project even then NWTS demolished everyone in 2013
no hiatus. he was doing features and probably more loosies then
why y'all people always so interested in commercial runs tho? Drake has been garbage since 2015 and NWTS was his best album by a landslide
2009
He was literally Kanye - post prime Wayne level in 2010
No he wasn’t.
And he didn’t outselll he that year
Wayne outsold him the next year
Eminem outsold him wit mmlp 2. It wasn’t until IYRTITl that he was the number one rapper.

I think that feature run in 2012(Stay Schemin, No Lie) kind of primed him then he exploded off that momentum in 13 and hasn't come back down
Discussing this "Who's the biggest commercially" s*** is worse than discussing who's got the most critical acclaim
by far
you basically discussing who's loved the most by the masses when most people are dumb as f*** and have no taste

good way to put it. as soon as 2013 started, literally as soon as it started, he had f***ing problems (huge way to start the new year), then immediately after he drops SFTB, and literally a week or 2 later, he drops what I consider 1 of his best songs, 5 am in Toronto....it's like he couldn't wait for the year to begin and exploded with all the s*** he dropped.
2013 - his dominance began

gonna make a thread out of this

That’s your opinion but 99% of the people think otherwise that’s why he still is #1 and on top.

I sound arrogant now but most casual listeners are just sheep
He lapped Kendrick in 2010 tho in commercial success
I can’t believe we haven’t deleted this r3tarded post yet
