Bro I remember seeing a tweet a few years ago saying "if Eminem was played in the club everyone would leave" that went viral.

Are people forgetting tracks like Smack That, Shake That, Ass Like That, etc exist

I would f***ing sprint to the exit if any of those songs came on

Eminem hate is played out now. Before it was a response to the trash music he was putting out and his obnoxious fanbase.

These days I’m seeing way more people give him his flowers

Two decades of garbage will do that. Love the new album tho.

See the problem I have with odd future hating on Em (well maybe just Tyler, but Earl to an extent) is that they (again maybe mainly Tyler) were very clearly influenced by him and were fans of his.

I’m not saying people can’t change their preferences or lose fandom ofc, but I feel like coming from them, it it just feels real disrespectful considering their history

The only hate Em getting is in fact U.S. based which in part its adjacent to the fact that in the U.S. almost every daily topic being race related since aint nobody talking s*** on him anywhere else.
Nonetheless he be dropping elevator music for almost two decades now besides a few exceptions like MMLP2 Bad Meets Evil even Recovery there's a few glimpses of old d***ged out Em which always gonna be his peak and truth be told his peak was probably one of the highest ever on hip hop's history aint nobody gonna take that from him

People hate recovery but I actually like it lol. Some bad songs on there but better than anything he’s put out as a whole in the past 14 years

Recovery is by far the least forced and eventually the last genuine album from him since its basically his catharsis on what he been through regarding his addiction his grief his stardom though he does have some mainstream display attached to it and I believe that kinda took away of what it could be another cult album from Em.
Post recovery what he been doing is basically money grabber
