Earl and Tyler were such lame edgelords. How you gonna talk like this about someone who birthed your whole style
earl stopped sounding like eminem over a decade ago
also no black person owes any skin demon any automatic respect on gp tbh
i remember all of it
its bc back in the early hip hop forum days em fans were like the the first beyhive/barbz. there were so many of them and they were ignorant af and just talked about his sales and how he's the GOAT
than as the forum culture grew and other fanbases got bigger, i think people just had a bad taste in their mouiths, myself included
im an Em stan now but back on KLIVE i used to shiit on him bc of this reason lol
p4k also being in its peak in 2010 and s***ting on Recovery also helped with what i said above
the hate is all internet related btw ppl irl don't hate eminem
Don’t let what you see on here today fool you. As a nigga that was on here in 2011, ktt (rightfully) HATED Relapde
THEY DID
but if you were really here than you'd know they LOVED Recovery
i remember all of it

Deleted my post outta respect for you
Deleted my post outta respect for you
i didnt see your post what did you say lol
It happened as he kept adding bad albums to his discography. He had a crazy high peak though
Didn’t help that the ones making those Lil Wayne bad memes were Em stans themselves
i didnt see your post what did you say lol
It’s okay
let’s just forget it
the first hip hop forum i was ever on was the IMDB threads at the bottom of the actors pages lmao
and the MOST popping page was the Eminem page for Hip Hop talk, even more popping than the actual Hip Hop page
And anytime i mentioned an artist outside of Eminem (mainly Kanye) I'd get so s*** on, and it would be like racist s***
That was early internet, and I think a lot of people saw that and couldn't wait to s*** on dude once there were more of people who liked other artists, P4K s***ting on recovery and the growth of KLIVE built it.
IMO
MMLP2 is not a very good record in my opinion, and rap God IS TERRIBLE. However seeing people rewrite history like he wasn't highly regarded as one of the goats ever is crazy
i feel like if you’re a real fan of hip hop eminem you have to consider eminem as one of the greatest
p4k also being in its peak in 2010 and s***ting on Recovery also helped with what i said above

they gave that album like a 2 which is crazy because irl people liked it. i listened to it a few months ago and i was surprised bc i thought it was gonna be trash
post Relapse tbh. Also Not Afraid being as huge as it was didnt help, 7 year old me liked em but hated that song, hated Recovery too. First album i ever got on bootleg and regretted it. He kinda bounced back with MMLP2
Not exactly sure. The actually quality of his music took a nosedive long before the average person actually started catching on
Em will always be respected for his 90s-2003 run but man’s music became so s***ty afterwards, collectively. There was some gems during the mid-late 2000s but once the Recovery era rolled around, he locked in hard with a lot of bad choruses, beats, and mind-numbing technical rhyme schemes that affected his flows. And I’d say it took till MTBM-DOSS eras for him to shake out of that.
And then gave birth to a whole sea of white rappers that try to emulate that.
I wasn’t really a hater until someone here pointed out that he kinda sold out when he chose a political side because he has always “stood” on being against the system. Definitely on a rap list tho.. I just can’t rock with him anymore.

Were you into hip hop before Eminem blew up? I doubt there's many geezers on here that were but people that already memorized Wu Tang and Jay Z albums before SSLP came out definitely knew how trash he was by 2004. It was the billions of little idiots that got into rap through Eminem that couldn't see how bad he had gotten.

Why u bringing race into this
Also isn’t this comment from a decade ago anyway
I saw a shift take place around the MMLP2 release but It was still a very successful era. That period between MMLP2 and Revival, I started to see it grow more and more until it peaked on Revival and it finally got to Em.
