How does these songs make any sense paired with songs like Gently, Rich Baby Daddy, Calling on You, IDGAF, Members Only, What Would Pluto Do, etc. I feel like just spit balls his songs and sees what sticks when it should never be like that. That’s where he lost me as a huge fan

In fact, I'd argue that a lot of her lyrical content from the early 2010s is a lot more mature than her lyrical context from now.

Kanye West is making absolutely insanely immature music at the age of like 50 (top 10 most streamed artist in the US)
Selena Gomez (not a top artist but near enough) is 31 making "Single Soon" type songs still
same with basically every artist at the top, it's not something unique to drake
And Drake is a top 3 pop artist too. It’s clearly not stopping his success.
Kanye is the only one I listen to regularly on that list and while I would certainly agree he’s making very immature music it comes after 5+ priori where he made music focused around other themes. Nothing in my critique of Drake has to do with subject matter itself, it has to do with the subject matter being stale and repetitive.

Y’all can’t talk about this man like he’s the greatest artist of all time and then not expect him to be held to a higher standard. This is the case in ANY avenue of life. If you’re at the top, or if you yourself are claiming you are the cream of the crop, then you’re gonna be held to a much higher standard than everyone else is
