Bro b****es love this loud aggressive s*** though. They wanna have their own version of the braggadocio hyper aggressive rap nigga s***
These rapsody type artists arent selling in general anymore. This isnt the 90s
Not sure who you're talking about with your last sentence (I know who rapsody is lol but who are you comparing her to? The aggressive loud type or the more melodic type that I'm suggesting there's a need for?)

Im saying rappers with focus on bars and soul jazz influence n all that arent selling anymore and she is one of those
Females have had these type artists forever what they rly wanna do is partake in the ignorant f***ery of the current landscape

Oh i mean yeah that's true, I wasn't suggesting that direction at all tho. I'm saying why aren't there female rappers on the melodic (like Young Thug melodic) sound that is dominating male hip-hop?
It'll change once that audience supports something other "ima boss, yo nigga gon eat this p****" raps

Lmao imagine a woman rapping like that. Just wouldn’t sound right from the voice but im here to be proven wrong

people just call that r&b
When females THEMSELVES start supporting female artists with actual talent instead of the ones with s***appeal that model for fashion nova with fancy wigs
Go ask females if they know who noname or Tierra Whack are
This might be the key

That makes no sense. That sound is 1000000000x more natural for a female than the loud aggressive s*** that female rappers are currently doing. There are some doing it now but they don't get attention/recognition. Gonna link a few songs in a min

It dont even sound right in my head . Just cuz they got high pitched voices doesnt mean they can go Thugger. All his clones have only managed to take one or two flows of his.

This is definitely true to an extent, but also have to consider the fact (and this is most definitely a generalization, but has been true in my experience at least) that females are in general more casual hip-hop listeners than males (not necessarily the average female fan vs average male fan, but it's certainly true that there are more males that are "really into" hip-hop than females that are), and so they're less likely to dedicate time to actually discovering talented artists and more likely to just listen to whatever the labels/mainstream are pushing (which currently is the Cardi brand of female rapper)

I know sorry I didn't mean go full Thugger clone lol I just meant embracing the melodic style of rap that Thug has popularized (again Im gonna link u some songs in a min)

Fasho brrro im waiting

I guess tbh neither of these are really Thug-sounding, but definitely leaning way more towards that whole sound than the sound of currently popular female rappers
Maybe it's just me but I would a million times rather hear female rappers doing s*** like this than jumping on a flow/beat that sounds like it's 10-15 years outdated
Also even just the bars. Like these artists have bars that sound like actual modern, up-to-date rap lyrics, not just super corny s*** about scamming dudes and being a boss ass b****

I see you. The last one sounds nice but so far a lot of these girls sound like they got no sauce doing this style.Like on glowing the part that was dope was NOT the rapped one. But I feel like it will only get better

Yeah I pretty much completely agree. The Ness Heads girl is on the right track w her sound I think but I agree it does honestly still come off a bit forced and just like she doesn't have the natural "sauce" doing it (whatever that means lmfao but idk how else to describe it)
But yeah BKTHERULA is really one of the first that ive found that to me doesn't sound forced at all and actually does have this feeling to her that she has her own sound and isn't forcing s*** at all (which is why she's currently my favorite female rapper by so far)
